Holy crap! I’m reading “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” and they just got to the part where they’re talking about the Babel fish, and I just realized that must be where the translating website Babelfish got their name. Yay for literacy!
Nothing seemed to go right today. I was late everywhere I went and quite frankly exhausted after my 2 hour cancer survivorship meeting to discuss all the potential diseases I’m at risk for now. So I did a 30 minute half-hearted open water swim and turned my 20 mile fast and flat bike ride into a 13 mile easy-paced ride. I just wasn’t feeling it and my legs felt tired and heavy.
Bike hill repeats tonight up 140th. 1,562 feet of climbing in 12.9 miles! The hill itself is about 9% over 1.5 miles. I’ve never done this hill more than once on a ride, so I was really pleased that I did three times! 🚵
Rode the Lake Stevens 70.3 course today. It was one of the most beautiful routes I’ve ever done! But it was hilly! 57.6 miles and 3500 feet of climbing. I’m feeling a little more confident in doing Obliteride. Oh and to make the ride even better, it was 85 degrees! Perfect day! 🌞
