In my quest to watch AFI’s top 100 movies, I started last week with Deer Hunter, which I really liked. Then the next day I watched Funny People (not on the list) and they made a reference to Deer Hunter. I screamed so loudly because I got the reference, which was really fun, because I never get stuff like that. I’m a little sheltered on these things to say the least.
So then this week I watched Jaws, which was pretty good. Although, Robbie kept getting mad at me because I thought it was so funny. He said, “this isn’t a comedy!!” Of course he’s still stuck in the 10 year old version of himself that saw the movie for the first time. I suppose I could see how it would have been really scary from that point of view.

Yay for pancakes made from scratch and soy bacon. Nom! Nom! Nom!
I have so many things to be thankful for today. Of course being thankful isn’t just reserved for one day out of the year, I try to remember the many positive things in my life daily. But I will say first and foremost I’m thankful for my amazing husband, our three crazy cats and our silly dog. We’ve created a life together that is truly perfect for us and brings me so much happiness.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day today surrounded by the people you love, while doing whatever it is that makes you happy. I also hope you can continue to appreciate all the positive things in your life every day. You deserve it!
Holy hell. So I was just out walking Megatron and we were crossing this big grassy area in the middle of our neighborhood, when I hear the clicking of nails against concrete and look over, expecting to see someone’s dog. Turns out there’s a fucking coyote just running down the middle of the street that runs next to the field. He was just on his way to the woods at the end of the street. No big deal…
